steering wheel?

hey,
ive noticed in pics of people's m3's that the steering wheel is like the newer style wheels.. has the emblem in the middle and is 3 spolk.. i personally dont like the 4 spolk wheels and that there is no emblem in the middle of the wheel ( to me makes the interior look older than it is) so i was wondering what are the steering wheels that people are putting in, in place of the standard bland 4 spolk wheel?
was thinking about putting a different wheel on when i get my own m3..

um, depends on which year m3 you're looking at. i believe in like mid-1998 bmw changed from the 4 spoke to the 3 spoke w/ bmw emblem. you can search on ebay or in the classifieds as i'm sure i've seen a good number of sells of the 3 spoke wheels.

well i was planning on a 98 or 99 m3.. so i should expect to see a 3 spolk wheel with the emblem? awesome.

Early production 98's have the four spoke, later ones the three.

I agree with you about the 3, having a 99 myself, but if you find a nice 98 without it you can do a steering wheel swap, there are some board members who've done so.
