as you can see this one is badged and individually numbered, i have another lip sitting in my room too. i was informed that this lip is more for the track enthusiast as it will withstand extreme pressure and scraps. chk it out and its construction as www.e6designs.com

thats different... i dunno if i like the design of it maybe if the lip part was smaller like the stock m3 lip with velocity splitters all done in CF, that would be better.
great work tho but it hangs too low. thats jus my opinion...

i like the design bc its like the ACS w/splitters, very clean and not complicated looking like some others. im a true believer that everyone has a right to their own taste. i was nvr a fan of the Rieger spoiler but i nvr bagged on someone who had it. not saying that you are. just my two cents. but those two rides look very nice in your sig.

damn, I'd buy that if it wasn't so damn expensive, looks new and is like nothing else out there. Looks like a twist between the Rieger infinity 1 lip w/Velocity splitters, looks good though.

as far as the engine i just have air intake, im thinking of getting a chip and hfm but im thinking of selling the m3 too. im not sure yet.
your ride looks really clean too. theres a new shipment coming in and there going to be sold as a group by for $999 ea. instead of suggested retail price. dont let the price freak you out if you cant afford it. this lip is 100x's better than the authentic ASC. i used to have one and it was extremely heavy not to mention had fiberglass constructed into it too. this weighs prob 3-5lbs since i can pick it up w/my index finger no problem. and as far as duribility, scraps are not goin to crack it. like i said, it will be displayed at bimmerfest on mine as well as other m3's and there will be a stand alone one for people to inspect and pick up. but thanks again for your compliments.

Nice looking piece. But for over $1300, any smart race junkie is going to be the real deal LTW adjustable piece. I can see that on a nice show car however.

*YIKES* $1k plus for a splitter on a street car?? Man I would be afraid of driving my car with somthing like that on the front...it would get destroyed in less than a week when pulling into some stupid parking lot. Looks different for sure tho.

well parking lots vary haha. but this piece is more durable than you think. the splitter for the m5's had some pretty hard hits from dips and it showed not a single sign of stress or cracks. and like i mentioned before, this lip is really for the track enthusiest. but thanks for the compliment!

i understand where ur coming from, i already know that most people cant afford it. but keep in mind this is not a "made in china" part, and honestly if you knew what it involved to make this, even $400 wouldnt cover the "cost" for this lip. but in no way am i flamming on you, just educating you :) but im glad you like the style.

let me chime in here... first of all.. lets just talk about the product.. and not the price.. bc this post isnt about selling.. its about showing.
as all of you should know... you get what you pay for.. if you want to go cheap and buy a polyester resin, 1 ply carbon fiber, wet lay fiberglass backed, "carbon fiber" lip... you can bet your butt its a piece of crap. cracking it is ineveitable, and its going to weigh at least 10lbs (you know what i mean)
now.. this is a 6 ply, epoxy resin system, vacuumed, 100% carbon fiber lip. if you hit something.. you'll prob split it in half.. if you happen to crack the lip.. you probably ripped off your bumper as well. the lip weighs approx 2lbs.
$1350 is cheap in the racing industry, and this lip definitly exceeds some of the products in the racing market. now before you form an argument, WE REALIZE this board isnt the "racing" industry. the price is what it is, HOWEVER... in the near future, the price will be lowered temporarily for pre-bimmerfest sales so enthusiast will have something new and exciting to sport for the event. all inquiries should be directed to sales@e6designs.com
if you want more picture or have other concerns about the structure of this lip, we'd be happy to answer all your question, not to sell you on the product, but to help you realize the quality of the piece compared to other products on the market.. piece of mind if you will...

It actually looks pretty hot. Very similar to my ACS CF lip and splitters. Does it sit lower than normal?
My only concern would be if you accidentally scrapped the splitters, it would scratch or crack. I scrape my splitters alot but since its ABS plastic, it flexes and wont damage my CF lip.

you can drive w/ complete confidence that this lip will not crack if you hit somthing in the road.. unlike cf-fiberglass or cheap plastic lips, you wont be cussing at yourself and sweating bullets after you take something out on the freeway.
this lip is built stronger and lighter than any other lip on the market.

What makes this splitter worth 2x as much as this CF one??

thats hard to say.. i dont see too many specifics on the details of that lip.. which by the way isnt even made yet. im sure it exceeds the quality of acs.. as i know for a fact that the acs is heavy.. and not 100% cf.
im not going to say that that untangible lip is inferior, but lets face it.. its an existing design thats been out for a while.. besides the fact that our lip is unique in its own, its hard to miss that our lip contains more carbon fiber and containes unique curves due to its design..
in short.. that is why its 2x as much..

All pricing set aside, IMO that is in a league of its own as far as quality and styling are concerned. It's beautiful, sleek, and I trust it is exceedingly durable. It's nice to see some fresh E36 products on the market too.

its obvious that a majority of viewers like the style of this lip. theres a reason for its pricing and its def. not to rip someone off. its a new style not a knock off of an existing style which is yrs old.
basically what it comes down to is e6 designs makes awesome high quality and unique cf products for our rides. its well engineered and backed w/a warranty bc its THAT good. try finding a warranty on knockoffs and fiberglass products. if you havent chk'd out the website, look for the model standing on the hood. could any VIS owner say they would allow someone to stand on their hood? i doubt it. ive seen those hoods, they're resin rich and crack/fade easily.
e6 engineers say you will have to rip ur bumper in half to break this lip, which is why its marketed to racing teams bc it will withstand the pressure of scraps on hard turns. not to be offensive to others , but most look for something for nothing and when u spend 500 bones on a product thats half as good in quality, your gonna kick urself when it breaks and there goes 500 bones, but here you'll be confident that it wont break.
btw: in no means am i trying to flame here. :D

:clap nice work! I'll guess the answer to the question of why it is so expensive.... THERE IS A LOT of work involved in making something like that. Very nice piece! :buttrock

That is a beautiful piece. Excellent work; considering its quality the price is reasonable. You really do get what you pay for.

Then again, an opinion is just that. My opinion??? I don't care for it. I love the ACS lip (I will have a rep. version whenever the damn thing get's through customs :mad ) but I just don't like the molded in splitters. I don't care for the lines that any add-on splitter makes with this car. I know that opinion places me in the minority of bf.c'ers who like th splitter look.
BTW, your car is teh hotness! Very sweet.

Looks hot. If people are paying $1300+ for an ACS lip I don't see why this lip couldn't command more. Especially if it seems like it's of higher quality. :dunno
