I kind of like the updated classic look(Superlities, minilites, panasports). I would probably be mauled by the purists :help

I don't even think they come in the right size for 2002's though. Is it true that Konigs suck(Lips bend easily)? I really like that whole minilite look, along with basketweaves, and the ATS rims( which I would have If I could find them). How much do the ats rims go for?

i like the konigs, they are a new wheel, so i havent heard any reviews yet. but i suspect them not to be as strong as the panasports they are a knockoff of.
personally, when i get my 02 to the new wheel stage, i know for sure i will be picking up a set of panasports. for me, just has that cool vintage racer look.

Yeah Ill probably stick with panasports as well. I just like the way the Konigs give a sort of vintage racer with modern appeal.
The Black and Chrome of the ATS rims would look HOT on your car. I think those are really cool... Have a link to a place that sells them on the net?

Most all Konig wheels are made in China or Taiwan. These wheels are very low quality and as such, their only hook is price and styles. Being in the industry I've seen several of these wheels actually crack the entire diameter of the wheel, resulting in total loss of air and control. BBS and other quality wheels will, upon impact bend and absorb energy. Yes you get a bent wheel but, you're able to safely pull to the side of the road or at least be able to drive to the nearest service station. They will not pass any tests that European and Japanese manufactured wheels have to. The Panasports are Japanese and have to pass stringent tests for sideload and impact tests. I'm referring to the street versions, not the competition lightweight wheels. The Japanese tests are actually more stringent the German TUV. :)

You can still find ATS wheels on ebay.de Just make sure you contact the seller before bidding. Some wont ship to the states. Wheels without tires cost about $150-250 to ship but they usually sell for very cheap. I think it is worth it. here what you ask,"Hallo, konnen sie nach amerika versanden? Kann ich mit Paypal bezahlen?"
These would be sweet with flares!

What are the right pattern and dimensions for a rim on a 2002? How much are those ATS wheels in american dollars( What is a euro equal to?/ What is the average price?)

if the price is right I would get the konigs. many people talk about bending rims and such, let me just say any rim will bend! If you are putting them on a 2002 I doubt you are going big with small rubber so what could it hurt?

Yes, but the Konigs are the wrong size. They have a 40mm offset which is more suitable to fwd cars like honda, mazda, etc. to fit a 205/50/15 tire on a 15x7 wheel(or any 7inch wheels) the offset should be between 27-30mm. offset requirements depend on rim width. Bottle caps are 14x6 et, 38 E30 basketweaves are 14x6.5 et 30. The wheels that I linked to wouldnt fit an 02 without flares. they are 13x8 and the offset is probably 0-12.
These would fit your 02 nicely

$549 for a set of 15's

these should still fit the '02 but if the offest is different you can use the price there as a reference point

Yes, and both are wrong. The RWD wheels are et0 and are the wrong lug pattern. The only 4x100 wheels they have are et40

If these came in 16x7.5-8 and around a 20mm offset I would love to stick these on my '02. My current At Italia's are 16x7.5 40mm offset (20mm spacer added) and are grossly heavy. I haven't compared them side-by-side but my M3 wheels might be lighter. :rolleyes
The panasport style wheels are classic. They look good on any 2002! :buttrock
