car looks very nice.....seems like you got a pretty good deal as well.
welcome to the forum btw...
On those black cars, lots of guys black the front grill out, which looks pretty good.
You may want to consider a radar detector right away! I hardwired a passport into mine (which I've had about 3 months), and it's saved me about 10 tickets so far. Cheap insurance. The hardwire job took me about 20 minutes, and no cords is nice (plus the fact that when my car is on, the detector is on).
Have fun...these cars are probably one of the best bang for the buck deals out there right now.

Nice car. I notice a bunch of bad rock-chips in the front.
If you search the archive, there is a guy selling bmw-spec'd touch-up paint for $11 or $13 shipped. Made to your specific color number (ie Apline White III, etc.)
Includes a bottle of clear coat too.

Tell me about it. My friend just bought the EXACT same car as this one, except it was a 1997 with 66k miles on it. Black on black, HK system, power seats. In SoCal too! $11.5k. :eek2
Nice ride though. Not sure about the "good deal" though. Decent maybe? I paid less than that over a year ago with only 7k more miles (and a 1997). :dunno

That daily feeling to search the forum to see how to spend your money is the first symptom of what we call "the mod bug". It is very contagious in this forum....we all have it and you will too.
First dose of medicine: buy an X-Brace. Best mod for the cost.

thanks for the replies guys. I'm aware of the mod bug since I use to own a Honda and the JDM bug owned me. Right now i'm working on fixing my backlight for my clock, the damn climate control flickering on and off and the dim radio display panel. The common problems of the E36. :)
I ordered my Euro E36 taillights too :embarrasm
