Odd Problem after failed attempt at DDE wiring:
Ok, so I've had these DEPO Projector 36's w/ HIDs for about a month, and I haven't had any time to wire them up correctly (everything worked except for the DDE). So after much guess, and many blown fuses later. I now have the same ole functioning headlights, except now when I turn on my bright my HID's shut off and only my driver side bright turns on. And when I turn off my brights, my driver side low beam hid starts to flicker for a little bit all the while the instrument panel beomces all twitchy, rpm's go to 0 back to normal, same with speed, gas, etc ..

Now I don't understand why this is happening, I gave up on the DDE's for the day, plugged everything back to where they were before but now I have this problem?

Secondly, I still want to try and figure out my DDE's I tried following the schematic on umnitza.com on how to wire up the DDE's, but it says Ground wire is Brown at 12 o clock, from what I see the grey wire is grounded to the car so that confuses the bejesus out of me. And even when I follow the schematic I get nothing, and currently the wires are set up as the following
12 o'clock: Brown
3 o'clock: White
6 o'clock: Grey
9 o'clock: Yellow

And you may say that I should switch the White and Yellow, but then I just my high beams on instead of the low beams.

I'm open to any suggestions at this point, I'm going to call Umnitza tomorrow and if that doesn't work I'm so fed up that I'm willing to take it somewhere. Or alternatively if anyone around San Diego, hell I'll even drive 45 minutes if someone is willing to help me. I'm located in North County (Vista). And yes, I did use the search button.
Thanks, Phillip

Depo's do not follow the same rule for wiring. You will need a volt meter to check for continuity. It is a very easy thing to do. You touch the lead on the back of the headlights, and then touch all the contacts inside the light until the meter shows you have found the ciruit (it sorts of tells you a ground is present).

It took me a while too and almost fried my 12volt AC adapter in the basement when I was shorting something out.

you can always remove the headlight from the car
and look inside the headlight and see what color is going to what prong

zkw's and depos dont follow the same pattern
here is the thread
it may help you

Alright thanks, when I remove the headlights how exactly and I finding out which wire is going where? I had the headlights out yesterday and I'm not sure I recall the wires doing the thing you explained.

I think you have to open them up and look at the back side to see where the wires go.

Alright, I'm in the process of doing that but the funny thing is , I see a White wire to connect to , a yellow wire to connect to, but then there are two almost brown but not quite as brown as the pnp adapter and sort of a faded red wires for the other two .. oh well guess I could guess and check, but I'm running out of fuses damnit! :(

ZKW and DEPO are EXACTLY the same pattern.
It's ALWAYS pin 1 as ground.

The only problem is Pin 1 on the DEPO isn't always at the 12 O'Clock position.

It may be at 3pm, 6pm, or even 9pm, but the wires always follow the "next position over" schematic.
