Hi, I'm thinking about converting my 2002 to use a 320 I fuel injection. I was wondering what parts I would need to do this converion, and whats a resonable cost to pay for such parts (like the fuel injection manifold + pump). Thanks

There is quite a bit involved with the 320i fuel injection.
2 electric fule pumps, 1 in the tank, one just outside the tank, hoses to connect hard lines to the fuel distributor.
Fuel distributor
Warm up regulator
Cold start valve
intake, injectors, fuel lines (to fuel distributor)
ECU, O2 sensor (80-83 only)
Rubber boots and hoses
probably more that I have forgotten.
Prices are fairly cheap-heck, I gave most of my stuff away for the cost of shipping when I converted to programable EFI.

Thanks. I read somewhere that it is possible to use high pressure 318i fuel pump instead of 2 fuel pumps. Is that true?
Also, has anyone else used this set up?

It might work, but I have never tried it.... I'm not sure what each engine runs for normal fuel pressure.

I've run the cis (80-83 320i) with a single pump mounted in the Tii pump location. My '73 runs two pumps (in tank and external). No diffrence in drivability. The in-tank pump, from what I understand primes the main pump. I'd look into running the Motronic injection on the 84-85 e30 318i. Its much more versatile as far as programing, has great drivability and just as inexpensive as the early style cis injection. For my conversions I purchased complete heads with the injection system intact along with the airbox assembly. I also take the complete harness from the fusbox to the ECU and the pump haness that includes the relay. Its a pretty basic install and I paid about $200.00 for the cis set up. The Motronic set up should be about the same price. I usually cruise the local Pick Your Part. Good luck!
