Hey, i have a buyer for my wheels, but he has an e36 95 m3. I have iforged aeros, made specifically for an e46. They are 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5 rears. The guys are iforged told me that they will fit with a tiny spacer in the rear. But he called today, and they told the guy that they wont fit because the rear will stick out about 1/2 inch. I dont understand, anyone know? :help

Offsets are totally different between E36 and E46. So no, they won't fit.

This is incorrect. The wheels should be completely interchangeable between e36's and e46's, with the exception of e46 M3 rears. However, e46's can probably fit bigger wheels under the fenders than e36s...those sound pretty big for an e36. Might need some serious fender rolling.

But as far as offset goes, if they fit a (non-m) e46, they should fit an e36

From what I can gather, a 19x9.5 rear won't fit on the e36 without fender modification. I'd say that's pretty independent of offset, too. But, the offsets are the same between e46 non-m's and e36's.

edit: first post on bimmerforums much?

A 45 or 46mm offset should be okay, but you can go running 275's or anything big like that without fender work.
