Hlep Please..."lump" sound in tires?

Hi all,

Below about 25 or 30 mph, my car (2001 330i) has an annoying "lump, lump, lump" sound that is consistent with tire revolutions on the road. I think it may be a tire out of round? Does this make sense? Could it be something else? Is it dangerous?

Have you checked the pressure on all tires first? Was the car sitting parked for a long time? If yes, they could have flat spots, which may or may not disappear after driving for a while. Otherwise, probably need to do balancing again. Good luck.

Thanks! I just purchased the car about a month ago...and it has just 14,000 miles (for a 2001) so it has been my suspision that it did sit for a while. I'm upgrading to new tires anyway (Goodyear F1 GS-D3s) and figure that should obviously fix the propblem if it is flat spots or balancing issues. I just wanted to be sure there couldn't be anything else.
