I have a question for those with these wheels...are the "rivet" bolts around the rim glued on or are they actually screwed in to the recess? Please don't tell me they are glued :embarrasm I am considering a set :)

I don't know, but just a quick look at the website, it doesn't look like they have a BMW fitment, 5x120.

They definately have a BMW fitment, as stated I can find at least a dozen people here on this site that have them.

most of the wheels today have rivets that are "glued in" or are pressed in. it's rare to see one piece wheels with rivets in them to actually have thread that are screwed in (those are probably more reputable brands). i actually work for a wheel company so i have some experience with it.

did we get a for sure answer? I am def. considering these rims.I have a thread where Jim from tire rack actually answered me....they were pressed in (so there is a potential for them to fall out/off) still nice wheels though but I went in another direction.

my question is now, are the rivets in the BBS and other high quality rims pressed the same way?

I have the ASA-AR1's in black. They do not have threads and they are not screwed in. However I do not know how they are placed whether pressed, glued, or taped.

that is a question that needs to be addressed per individual wheel design and manufacturer.

I will venture to say that ANY one piece wheel will have a pressed of glued on "rivet" and ALL two or three piece wheel will have a true bolt/"rivet" joining system in place by the nature of construction mechanics.

The pieces need to be joined in true mechanical fashion.
