Like the title says. DO you think this will work. Also, how will it handle. I just came across a brand new set of these firelli p zero tires 245/50/17 zr and would love to use them on the rear 8.5's. in doing this, i would swap out my 235/45's and put them on the 7.5's in the front. How would this work out. WOuld it even fit, rubbing issues. Also, what are your thoughts on the p zero tire. Car is running on stock suspension, m double spoke staggered and is a 93 325is. Looking to change suspension soon though to gc coil overs. WOuld these work either way.
THanks

Does anybody have any idea. I don't want to mount them and see that they don't fit.
Thanks

Personaly, i think it would look like you have a 4x4. With 7.5 wide, the biggest tire i would run would be a 235/40 or a 225/45. It's not going to handle any better with huge tires, it just take more HP to spin them.
ps: remember the wider the wheel the bigger the side wall, so a lot of people who run different size wheels front to back will use a 215/40 front with a 245/35 rear to even it out.

I was under the impression that mixing tire brands was not a good idea...In normal everyday driving...you should have no problems...But in panic situations it could be dangerous...I asked several knowledgeable car guys before I ended buying a 4 new tires.

Ok, I have no problem with mixing brands. Those sizes are WAY off though. the proper size for the rear is 245/40-17. Bumping that up two profil sizes to a 50-series is bad news. Also, front should be 235/40-17, not 45-series. For one, your car is going to look like a hot-rod with a jacked up rear end. Two, it's going to throw off your speedometer. Three, why??? If they don't make the right size for your application DON'T GET THEM. There are too many good tires out there to get the wrong fitment.
