Tirerack keeps pusing the delivery date of the 18x9.5 SSR sp1s (black with anodized lip); from 'March 31' to now 'back order'. Can anybody from Tirerack weigh-in on whether they ever will arrive?

Thanks

The 18X8.5 is intransit and due 02/23. Unfortunately I do not have a confirmed date on the 18X9.5 if you want to stagger the wheels.
Sorry

So SSR is bankrupt but still shipping/producing wheels? I'd really like to get the 18x9.5.

They are not bankrupt. They filed for protection and yes we are still receiving wheels. We have two containers on the water now.

Thanks Jim.
So you can confirm Tirerack will be getting the 18x9.5s? I like the wheels alot and need the 9.5s, but if it ain't gonna happen I'd appreciate it if Tirerack would let us know.

Its funny how so many people misconstrue Bankruptcy as going under, filing for bankruptcy is what Jim said, basically protection from creditors while you reconstruct your business, not to say it doesn't make things harder, but it certainly doesn't mean a company is done for when they file for bankruptcy.....

Speaking in generality chief, every single company that has ever filed for bankruptcy is gone? I think not, I was just trying to explain that it does not mean the same as "Out Of Business"

sorry, i was sarcastically making a point that the airlines that are filing for bankruptcy are obviously still flying from coast to coast.

My question is valid.

I dont have any knowledge of japanese bankruptcy law and how it compares to the different chapters of US bankruptcy law. Even if it is equivalent to a a chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy SSR may not able to deliver rims to Tirerack. :rolleyes

Assuming Japanese bankruptcy law is similar to the US laws, there's hope...if SSR filed chapter 13, there would be lawyers waiting at the pier to greet the containers.
