Ok i know everyone is gonna complain that i should search. Well i have, and i have both bimmerzone and karlb's write ups on the brake switch up right now next to me on my laptop.
It maybe took me 5 min to get the dash off and the old switch out, but i cannot for the life of me get the new switch in. Its supposed to go in vertial/parallel to the brake arm right? I've tried it both ways and i've pushed almost to the point of braking this thing but it still won't go in.
I've been holding the red sleeve out so that it doesn't expand the clips, but how do you get it in in the first place. Both write ups say just "pop" it in, it certainly doesn't pop right in unless your talking brute force.
Please just gimmie a quick answer to this if you can, and if you could resist posting "SEARCH" because i just need to get this done, i'm right in the middle of this thing.
