Mini CAI

hey all. my girlfriend is a real girly girl but she really wants a CAI so that her car sounds meaner. i have looked around and found a CAI from ABD and Mini Mania. are there any other options? she could care less for performance (well she doesnt want to lose any). she just wants it to look nice and sound scary. :buttrock TIA!

btw 2005 MCS. just picked it up less than 2 months ago.

Alta makes the supercharger whine the most and you get the phisssed sound when you put on the throttle. All CAI make the super louder but the alta is the loudest. I love mine however i might be getting rid of it because I have a plan.

hey do you have any pictures? i might be interested. hell she pays so much for shoes, she was shocked when i told her that new CAIs were in the $200-$300 range. she was like, "That's it? I thought they were more."

Here's some pics of the alta intake...you can get it with or without the silicone hose that runs from the intake to the TB.

brian - will this fit the new 2005 MCS? i know there is a power increase in this new model year. will there be any fitament issues? she may like this one because it is red. red = pretty haha.

The only thing you need to look out for in the '05 is with aftermarket exhausts. They changed the hangers in 04 and 05 which don't work with some of the exhausts out there. As for everything else (including the alta intake), it'll fit!

Here is mine and I think I gave $175 for it, As far as performance goes you will not be able to tell the difference between the cheaper ones and expensive.
