I think it'd be kinda neat. How much would a conversion like this cost? (Not that I'm going to do it, just curious)

I see a few left hand drive cars around DC so I suppose it's legal to drive them in the US but I don't have any ideas about the conversion cost.

My aunt owns a right-hand drive e36 328i in Hong Kong. I was just there this winter.
It's going to be a pain to drive here in the states. No drive-through, no paid parking garages, etc. THe only benefit I see is getting the mail.

It's legal, just say you work for the post office (a postal supercharged M3, now there's an idea :evil2 ).

I wonder what the police procedure for aproaching your car is then with a right hand drive car.

The cheapest 'conversion' would be just to import one from Europe or some other Commonwealth country... after a couple of required mods you'd be good to go!!!

Here in the states we get 189 hp. I know it's legal because we have the only Land Rover specialist in Montana. Needless to say, about half of the Land Rovers there are directly imported and are right hand drive. Complete with original Euro plates.

A guy at school had a RHD original mini.
At first glance it looked like nobody was driving.
