Oh Which is a better unit. Bosch or Valeo. Also 80 Amp vs. 140 Amp. Will there be an modifications I need to do in order to run a 140 Amp? Do you think it is overkill to do a 140 Amp?

I dont think its overkill if you run a big stereo system, otherwise it is.

What is bad on your alternator. I took mine to sunshine armature works in DeLand and the guy rebuilt it (bearings and brushes) for $72 I think. Couldn't beat that price with a $200 one from the zone....

It's totally dead. I put 180k miles on it. I guess time to replace. Deland is a little far of a drive for me. Maybe it's time to just sell the car. Kind of sucks that I put so much money into the darn thing. Anyone interested in a used 96 328is?
