Hey guys,
I am just trying to get a feel to see if anybody is interested. I know the market is pretty bad for bmw's right now but here is some info about my car.
It's a 1996 328is with ~150k miles. Paint is Boston Green, interior is tan.
As for the mods/recent maintenance here it is :
Mods -
OEM M3 front bumper
OEM M3 rear wing
OEM m3 Staggered contours with Michelin Pilots
UUC RK2 shift knob
Black out grills up front
French fogs
OEM clear tails, corners, and sides
Custom front seats wrapped in a suede/leather material
Interior is black/tan
Autothority intake
Remus exhaust
Autometer A/F gauge, Fuel gauge
6 disc cd changer
probably more, just can't remember
As for recent maintenance,
Oil JUST changed a few days ago, has been done very 4K since owned.
All fluids checked (diff, brake, etc.) recently
New vacuum hoses.
Rubber elbow above HFM just replaced, also new oil drain line hose.
Runs solid...
As for defects...
Honestly, the paint isn't that great on the car. There a few spots where the paint is scraped, and there are rock chips on the hood/front bumper. There are also 3-4 dings on the passenger side of the car, and a small dent on the driver side rear.
Other than that, car looks stunning.
As for Pictures...just talk to me on AIM, I am on there all of the time, and I will send the pictures to you through AIM. My screen name is philllly blunts If somebody wants to host the pics, I would be thankful.
Price : Looking for $7500. :buttrock :buttrock :buttrock :buttrock
EDIT: Ok, ok, here is one pic that I have...more available if you are interested in buying the car...I can take pics of whatever you want.

Price seems fair to me.. a clean, lower-mile 328is is easily worth $6-7K wholesale.. even with the miles, with all the upgrades, assuming it's clean, that's a good price IMO.

Interested, but:
- has the radiator been changed?
- original clutch?
- shock mounts?
- manual or auto (I assume manual, based on the upgraded shift knob)?
- how many owners?
Photos (as many as you have) to squares at gmail.com
Much obliged.

Ok, ok...I get the point. I am going to upload a few more... I need to get pics of the interior. The only few pics I have right now are a little abstract...but you get the point.

I was gonna say it's a little pricey (but I didn't want to be a cheap buyer). Honestly it depends on the condition -- the only problem here is that the photos aren't good enough to make an honest judgement.

From a seller's view, what do you think the price should be?

As a seller, I'd stick around 7 grand. The only problems that I see are the paint may be marginal, and the clutch will need to be replaced. Furthermore, you may want to hold out a bit, because it's not car-buying season.
From a buyers perspective, you NEED some interior shots and better detail shots of the exterior.

After looking at the interior, you're going to have a bit of trouble selling that car for 6-7k. High miles, original clutch, paint is in fair condition (?), interior in fair condition. My best advice is to raid Autozone, clean it up, and just hold out as long as you can for 7 grand.
I took a look at a 318ti today that made me cry. The guy was trying to get 5k.

Well I can't argue that its the original clutch, because I honestly don't know if it is or not. It is in good shape though and will not need replacing for a good while, and if the CDV is removed, it should last as long as you need.
I see absolutely no reason why it would not fetch 6-7K. I sold a 95 325is with 195k last year for $6500....

Let me clarify; as is, you will have trouble selling for 6-7k (it's dirty, and little to be excited about). Clean it up, and you should be able to get rid of it -- just be patient. My advice was to hold out for as long as you can, and give it a thorough detail job.
Is there any way to find out if the clutch was replaced? Contact previous owner?
Best of luck.

Cool ya man I understand what you are saying. I am actually taking it next weekend to have swirl marks removed, paint seald, and waxed if all goes well.....Should be looking stellar after that.
I am just going to hold out until early summer time when car buying season comes around, unless I get a solid offer before that.
