ok so i have to get new tires and i cant decide what to get, i have 8.5 all the way around and was running khumo mx's. great tire but i was getting alot of understeer with them. my back tires are still good so i wont change them just yet but plan on replacing them with nitto 555. what are some opinions on what i should go with in the front to help with the understeer?? :help :help

Don't blame the MX's, that is a 220 treadwear tire.
Get a camber kit. No more understeer unless you completly overcook it. :D
Or try slowing down a little bit before you turn in. ;)

i dont think camber is really too much of an issue, ill show you the way the tread wore on the tire when i swap rims to stock tomorrow. the mx's are great tires but i have too much energy transfered to the rear of the car which makes it hard to compensate for my understeer. i dont race alot although ima go to this year's cca bmw auto-x, im more of a drifting guy so fixing this would help me out alot cus sometimes i cant even get the back end to break out cus the front is just sliding away. its impossible to understand till you ride in it tho really. my friend races formula mazda and just broke down laughing when he felt how bad it was.

Sounds to me like you need a camber kit and another 100hp. :D

i wouldn't go for nitto's. i had them and i hated them. they wouldn't grip the road on a dry sunny day. i currently have the toyo t1-s tires and they are amazing. i have never seen a tire that grips the road like these tires do.

i used to run the nitto's on my drag car and they do require a decent burnout before the get traction but after that burnout they are like glue, the other thing i like about them is they have a 300 tread wear which is important to me. do you know the tradwear of the toyo's?

heres that pic, thats the inside of the tire
Adjustable sways would do the trick in eliminating (or at least reducing) the understeer.
