So its all finalized. The Sunday after X-Mas I went down to haggle with this MB dealer that had this really nice 2001 330 CI convertible 5 speed. So last Wednesday I finally closed the deal! I'm so stoked.
At first I was weary of buying the car cuz the price they had at it was a steal. Then I ended up negotiating a killer deal on the car.
I got a 2001 330 Vert, 5 speed, sport package, cold weather package, aluminium package. The thing only has 34,000 miles on it and is in awesome shape!
With it, I negotiated brand new floor mats, the cost of a Inspection I, and 2 days and 100 miles to get the car inspected.
Well after I got it inspected, it turned out to be A-OK, but I was still weary. I took the car to my friend at Pacific BMW and he ran the history on it and it turns out the car was a CPO!!!! So not only do I have the new car warranty on it, but I also have the CPO which is good till 100,000 miles and 2007!
I'm so happy :) The car is pristine!
Too bad I haven't been able to drive it much, its raining outside. Pics to come soon.
BTW its steel grey.
Question: What does the Premium package include? Also does the cold weather package always have rain sensing wipers? I got the ass warmers but I dont think I have the rain sensing wipers.

yeah no kidding. No camera at my appt + rain = :(
as soon as the rain lets up i'm gonna do a photo shoot with the 2001, the 95 and the jeep :)
BTW the 95 is for sale. I am SO gonna miss it. But the 2001 is a nice replacement. I'm asking 11k for it. Its basically had a complete overhaul. Shocks, tires, tranny, radiatior, waterpump..etc.etc.etc.etc....IF anyone is interested let me know.
Sounds wicked awesome. Show pics ASAP :)
Congratulations! Those convertibles are beautiful cars.

heh, mine is a 2001 325Ci Black, auto, sport package, premium package, premium sound package (or does it come with premium pkg?)
anyways, i now have 72000 miles on it ( :help ) with no problem whatsoever. Reliable, fun to drive, nice interior, looks good, what can i ask for more? only problem is that, my passenger window sometimes gets stuck on the cloth part (the convertible's window automatically drops about 1/4 inch or so when you open the door and goes up when closed). and it lacks power in lower rpms. anyways, good choice!
ps. how much did you pay for? i paid 43000 brand new. with 7 year 100000 warranty.

Well it is a CPO, so I'm not gonna be modding the engine (it already has way more power then I expected) but I dont like the shifter much, I want one with shorter and more precise throws. Anyone recommend any kits?
I did have the CDV removed recently. WOW!!! what a difference. I also need a clutch stop.
All day long at work, all I can think about is my 35 minute commute home. :buttrock

Ya I like your sig, so yesterday morning I decided to be a copy cat. I work in the builiding you seein the background. The skyline is Downtown LA. :D

to answer your questions (incase someone else hasnt) premium package includes the auto tinting rear view mirror, moonroof, leather, wood trim, power seats w/lumbar, auto wipers (newer ones also include auto lights) i think thats it....
also there is no such thing as "the aluminum package" that is standard trim. and i dont think the cold weather package has auto wipers....
Congrats, it is a very very badass car....i love my 330 i know youll love yours.
*edit* forgot to mention, most e46 guys like UUC short shift kits  IIRC, my car is auto :(
