I couldn't just let this go by without some kind of statement;
I needed an ECU for my 525i, after posting, M3Boost replied he had one. ANd the shock came when he said, "I'll send it to you so you can check it out, if it works, mail me the money"!! Not only was the price FANTASTIC, but trusting me to pay after he sent it??? So let me publicly say, "Thanks, and I'm honored by your trust...

Steve...........I love this board!

Hello all, had a similar postive experience to Mr. Darsus'
Needed an ECU for my 525i, 5speed manual, (running on 5 cylinders, #1 injector no signal, got it to run smooth on all six by connecting a jumper wire from #3 injector, neat trick to get you home but it does set an Injector 1,3,5 trouble code).
Anyway, joebigfun had one, same part number, 0 260 200 403 and now the car is running fine. Idles at 550 instead of 650 as it did originally and the idle is a tad "lopey" but it has a very throaty and deep sound now. My old unit has a big orange sticker that said it had been reprogrammed at the dealership in 1995, possibly they "smoothed" the idle by adding 100rpm.
No matter though, I love it the way it is.
Good price, one day shipping !
Great forum, thanks again joe ! andrew
