Is the new 530i worth the money?

I'm a V8 guy. I own the first generation V8 530i and a BMW 740iL. I current drove the ML500. I'm been thinking about getting back to my BMW root and 5 series is the one I enjoy the most. But I just think the price on the 545i is a big over priced and so is the new 530i.

Would I be enjoy the 530i much? How does the power and acceration feel on the 530i? Does is feel slow? any comments and recommendations?

Honestly, I would say NO. Like someone above mentioned, I would pickup a clean 03 540. It came with the M-tech kit and 18" M-Parallel's which are awesome looking.

I would not buy an e60 530i, but thats just me. About the 530's performance, I have an 03 530i, and its OK. Its not EXTREMELY slow, and its not SUPER fast. If speed and performance is what you are looking in to achieve, I'd look for an 01 or an 02 M5. You would have a pure BEAST on your hands for a relatively fair price.

You just put the words out of my mouth for me. I love the 01, 02 M5s. I thinks its a superb balanced car with just right amount of powers. Not over powered for ones to kill himself too easily. The only problem is I don't know how reliable are these used M5s. I really don't want to shell out too much money to repaire it.

By the way, I really like the new A6 with 4.2 V8 but ultimately I still prefer my BMW.

Call me old fashion(along w/Mblaster) I could have bought a new BMW but a bought a S/C '95 540i cash.If I had to do it again then E39 M5 CPO.(Then I would S/C it) :stickoutt

I have to agree i still think that the E39 just looks sexier and sleeker although the new E60 has kind of grown on me I would never say no to an old love

look for an 03 540i 6 speed with the sport pack and nav
with the newer E39 you can NEVER GO WRONG :evil2 watch out for tickets :devillook
