Paddleshift retro on M5 ?

Sounds crazy, but ca it be done? Specifically on '01-'02 M5.
If "yes", does anyone on here has one or seen one?
How much something like this would cost and what would it involve?

I remember seeing a kit for step 540's.
It would involve way too much to be worthwile on an E39 540.
Probably more cost effective to just buy an E60 545 w/ smg.

Only works on Steptronic Trannys. I have it in my e39 530i. Your M5 is a true manual, no paddleshift possible.

u can always install a sequential race system...it'd be really hardcore though,
would suck on the street, and i could see it costing close to 100,000 bucks
