Found this on ebay, and they state a 320 hp dino tested result and top speed to 170MPH (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?)

Your thoughts appreciated, and I couldn;t find the maker of the chip, but has the ///M logo on it.....

I wouldn't trust them. and there is no way you will gain 40 hp from a chip on a 540i.

and the uncorked (no speed limiter) top speed of the 540 is on top of 170 i would guess.

I personally would stay away from fleabay for performance modifications.

Yeah, that's an absolute fake. You might pickup a few hp with a reputable shop, but 40 is ridiculous.

lol.. smartass. well obviously you are going to be on a dyno. do you have a FPR and the ability to write a new chip? air/fuel controller?

don't trust it.

get a chip from a reputable tuner (conforti, e.a.t., dinan, etc...).

I am with all of you guys, I wasn't planning on buying it, just curious as to who made it and how they can get 40hp out of it?

Getting an EAT chip soon, soon as I can hide the funds properly away from the wife.

ugh, dynospot was going to tune, but i went in today and they say they dont burn chips for my car anymore. they said go buy an EAT. LAME. dyno session is still on though

if you don't end up going with the eat chip i am a big fan of my jim c.

and get that thing on the dyno... i want to see waht it puts down and i want to compare dyno graphs.

Yes get a dyno before and after.I believe alot of these chips #'s might be alittle over inflated(but I could be wrong).
