will a 93 325is motor start a 95 m3 motor?

If you mean with jumper cables yes. But I believe the m50 ecu is not compatible with the s50. But not totally sure.

I believe the m3 motor uses a different ECU and DME than a standard 325...

yes it definately does have a different setup but i did a swap and didnt get the m3 computer yet so i was wondering if i could just start it to see if it runs with the is computer
