Here is the deal. I ordered a set of Bilstein front struts from Turner. The website says the strut cap is either 1.125 inches or 2.5 inches. Well, mine is neither, it's about 1 3/4 inches, but definetely not 2.5. So I ordered the set for 1.125". Well, the nut that is on those is 19mm, and the nut in the ones in my car is 22mm. Can someone clarify this for me. Anyone got a pic of their cap and knows which one is is for sure? :help

Call these guys...SHOX.COM (http://www.shox.com) You have a 95 e34 right? Then you have the 22mm top nut that is what you go by. The smaller 19mm top nut was pre 92 or 93 I believe. After that BMW made some small changes in the suspension...
This is the older setup

when I ordered from shox.com they new right away. A piece of advice though....send the Bilstiens back and get Koni Yellow Adj. there is no compairision. As Koni makes 3 models for the front struts for the e34 the 95 has it own special set. There was a misprint in their catalog and it did not list this part. This comes strainght from Koni. Part number 8146 1176 Sport ( it is not listed ini the catalog but is on Koni's site

if it is 22mm nut then diameter of shock upper ends is 16mm. It has to be matched by guide support (upper mount) hole - 16mm. This setup used after 91, check ETK.
19 mm nut -> 14 mm upper end of shock adsorber. (pre 91)
You can use 14mm struts with the custome made feelers in 16 mm gide supports, but it is better to order proper shocks.
