OBC temp reading

The OBC displays a temperature reading of -35 when the car starts up. Is this because the air temp sensor is toast? I want the OBC to read the time when it starts up. Of course I'd like to get temp info but its not a big deal. it just bugs me to see -35 every time i get in my car and then to get the time i have to click the button.

Is it simple or do I need to do some troubleshooting?
