i have a 92 325i, ive replaced my springs and shocks on other cars, but i would like a step by step instruction if there is one. i looked at the diy write ups, but they only had shock replacement how tos, not for just the spring, so if there is a link to one, i would appreciate it, thanks.

Rear springs come out easy. Just raise the car, remove the wheel, remove the bolt on the bottom of the shock, stick a long pry bar into the suspesion at some convenient spot and get someone to push down. You should be able to push down enough to remove all of the load on the spring. Then you can reach in and take the spring out very easily.
I only found out about this by accident when I went over some railroad tracks and it caused my rear spring to shift out of position. Taking your time, you and a helper could do the rear springs in a hour, easily.

Otherwise I've done my 4 corners twice. The only thing I needed was to take the front shocks n springs to the shop and pay em $10 to put them together in 3 mins so I walk out of there with a strut in hand. The rear is very easy.
The first time i did it, it took me 6 hours. Last time I did it. It took me 1.5.
