check out this group buy - it's an ABS plastic bumper cover, you can use the original brake ducts and such and it comes with an integral lip and grill. We're trying to get 10 people together for a group buy - it's going for $250 plus shipping.

ask the guy "rcristobal" who bought the bumper from them originally - it definitely looks pretty badass.

Personally I have seen what I have gone through my bumper and I am very glad that I did not get a knock off bumper. They're just some things you don't want to skimp on, you'll regret it later. Although given I am lower then most people I still have seen tons of other cars with fiberglass bumpers and I have to say 75% of the time they are pretty trashed and the owner is trying to find a new replacement for it.

what about side skirts? side skirts are not going to take the abuse a bumper could.

I dunno, I've had my mishaps going over some bumps and other cases where my ABS plastic skirts have held up real well and I wouldn't think that a fiberglass copy would have made it through as well as mine did. Cause for my car, the front part of the skirt is the lowest part on the car and they are the lowest part over all on the car so naturally when I go over certain bumps they've hit, espcially with a load inside the car.
Hell, I've even scraped my rear bumper going out of some areas more then my front bumper before.
Then again, all really depends on the area you live and how low your car is.

they're abs - they're willing to throw in side skirts (abs plastic as well) for an additional $150.
Other people on this forum have done business with them Emotion Garage for other products as well as bumpers, and they seem to be pretty cool peeps.
Regardless, we need to act pretty quickly in order to get this group buy going. I gave them a call and talked to Will - I've updated the GB thread with what I learned.

i am hesitant to put money down now and not get the product until january.
because that bumper is one peice if you ever mess up the lip you would have to replace the whole bumper which means higher costs in the long run.
because of high shipping costs to canada i can get an oem m3 bumper for less.
