Ok,
I am curious to see what everyone thinks about jimmy powdercoating his wheels. I know its not my car but since I consider him a friend and know that he won't make this poll himself I figure I might as well try to get you guys help convince him.
I vote black centers!!! :buttrock

Says the man who told him to BUY acs wheels earlier today. :rofl
He should first get euro bumper strips.
But I vote no on the centers. Black centers on a black car is just too much I think. I wouln't mind seeing Fkise FM5s on it though with the dark anodized center...

i think a gunmetal center would look good.

if jimmy is gonna powdercoat those centers, it needs to be on a much lower profile (simpler looking) rim. i dont know how the chrome lip would look with a black center. it would tone down the car tho and make it much more sleeper. my vote...... yes but not with those wheels. new powdercoated wheels and keep those for show.

:lol :buttrock I have the Euro bumper strips and M3 mirrors at the bodyshop now.I could do what that Ferrari F40 guy did and have powdercoat black one side and polished on the other side. :D

Question guy's:IForged wants $600 to re-lip my rear wheels 1/2" smaller. They are hitting the fenders and I already have the fenders rolled.Do you think this is fair?I was told by iforged no discounts for promoting their wheels and no discounts for Bimmerforum members. :( Maybe I should go BBS or ASC.

I think $600 just makes it un-fair. If you ran spacers wouldn't there be a chance of it not rubbing anymore?
Maybe its time for a change.:dunno
yea just get bbs rs-gt's :) they come gunmetal so u save the hassle.

Olek spacers would only make them wider. :( .But good news.My tuner knows a bodyshop that might heat and repaint the fenders for..........$250!! :D And I am also going to redesign the rear suspension to combat the massive torque squat.I think my Dinan stage3 cannot handle the power.

I dont know how you play with instant center, seeing how I have not been underneath my car yet. But playing with I.C. can have a great deal of effect on contributing towards POSITIVE lift

They look good how they are, but I would also vote for a gunmetal center if that were an option.

Let me clarify my poor choice of wording in "redesign'.I ment instead to 'change' the rear suspension spring rate and check what Ground Control might offer.Dinan has not returned my phone calls.

This is where IRS begins to suck. Your cars balls are too big. :biglaughb:
Dinan probably wont return you phone calls, your car is faster than what they build, therefore, it doesnt "fit their demographic", which is slightly faster than stock. I like their e39 540's, but it doiesnt take too much to make an already fast car over the top.
Let me get under mine. While not a road racer by trade, I cant help you. But you dont have a sticlky problem, you have a good old 60' issue :D...
Congrats, man, I wish I had your problems :D

Ground Control just sent over some 500lb rated springs. We are going to try several ones out and pick the ones that work best.Keeping my fingers crossed!
Edit:Olek,if this was a 'Bud' commercial,this is where I say,"I love you man!" :D
