I looked at a 98' M3 today that had stock supsension on it and my car has stock 95' suspension but the rear of the 98' was sitting low enough to just barely cover the tops of the tires. Mine on the hand has a good inch or so of clearance above the tire. Are the 96'+ rear springs lower then the 95's?

I asked myself that question long ago and realized part of the problem there is the staggered wheels. The lip of the wheel on the 96 and up cars comes further out towards the fender lip making it appear that it is lower. The 95s have the same sized wheels all the way around and therefore appear to be higher in the rear. I think the actual height is the same.

That is the answer that I came up with anyways.......

springs are the same. If the 98 had blown shocks, it will cause the rear end to droop down.
