is that valve click?

The first time i start my car everyday, my engine is making a loud clicking noise that raises in sync with the RPMs for about 5 seconds. Is this my lifters? does it indicate an oil flow problem? its a 92 325i with 163k

If you're running heavier oil, (15w40 or 20w50) that's not that unusual - takes a moment to get it all pumping again vs something lighter.

My car does the same thing. 10w60 oil.

mine does it too. I run 10W 40 synthetic blend in the winter. When i start it goes up to 2K real quick and drops to 1K. By the time the dash lights go out it stops clicking though (about 3 seconds). I wonder if this is bad for the engine or normal though??
