brake thumping

when i press on the brakes i heer a loud thumping sound that i have not noticed before. My car has not been driven in a month and just started to notice this today. It only sounds when i press the brakes, i heer the abs and it thumps to that. any ideas?

Check your rotors and your pads... make sure there is no damage to either. Might need a brake caliper rebuild. Lot cheaper then it sounds.

is this a job midas would be good for or should i take it to a place that works on imports specialty

Well, it is prob rotors being warped. You can bring it to midas. But i wouldn't bring my car to midas if they paid me to do the work. Not nessicarly an import specialty shop.
