Today I decided I was just going to put the car up and do a little inspection around the the front end. I also wanted to get a brake pad number and see how much life they had left in them. Well once I got the wheels off and had gone over the calipers and pads I was just wiping everything down and I happened to notice that every other allen screw bolt that holds the rotor to the hub of the Brembo kit was loose. Just kind of wobbling around in the hole. However it was exactly every other one and only the ones that did not have a special retainer on the back side. Is this how this is suppose to be? I could not tighten them at all they were so siezed up. Also the outside face of both rotors are wearing with some pretty deep groves in the face of the rotor and subsequently the pad while the inside is wearing smooth. Should I be concerned with this or just be sure and seat the next set of new pads right? Sorry about the long post hopefully everyone is clear on what I am getting to. The picture that has the bolt unblurred is what was mildly loose. Also please give me any comments on the grooves on the face of the rotor.

dont try to tighten the bolts, they are made like that, floating rotors.
and about your rotors, from the pics it looks really bad, theres alot of score marks in them. try calling brembo and see if you can resurface the rotor.

But aren't the rotors like that due to the cross-drilled nature?

Unless you have a ton of cash, I'd deal with it. Those rotors are something like $350 each!

its hard to tell from the pics how deep those 'score' marks go. When you move your finger across them, Can you feel a 3-d 'texture', or is it perfectly smooth to the touch?

What causes those score marks. Bad cooling? harsh pads? wear and tear?

rotors look like have some lift left, what suspension is on the car in the sig looks perfect
