My 528i needs a suspension drop. Its looks really plain next to my m5. Ive got the m parallels on there so i dont know how low i should go, i think that my rears are 18x9.5 and fronts are 18x8. I already tried the b&g springs but when i put them on my car the front springs sounded like they were gonna fall out, they made a sound like the spring was rubbing against the wheelwell. Anyways i found some springs that i thought might work for me, they are the intraxx. They lower 1.6 in the front and 1.2 in the rear. It says 1.6 in the rear on the website but everyone says they are 1.2 rear. I dont wanna get eibach or h&r because the drop is not enough. I dont wanna spend a fortune on coilovers either, i just want some springs. What do you guys think about intrax? Any other springs out there that lower the car atleast 1.5?

this is Koni/Intrax setup on my 97 528i. front is really low (I think it's slightly lower now than it is on the pics). rear def is not 1.6. it's nice, but could be lower - just a personal preference. I like them. Now keep in mind that my wheels are only 8 inch wide. wider ones would improve looks. I wanted to put H&R but got these brand new at a deep discount. the only problem I noticed is that 3 coils are clipped in the middle section on the rear (progressive spring). Other than that - no problems :cool

PS first set of springs I got from the vendor had older type (number) front springs, thus diffrent drop. got them exchanged. call Intrax tech support to find out old/new numbers.

Wow. I like that drop. Are the newer springs lower or higher? Those look really nice. Did you put them in yourself? How long did it take?

PS do search on 5er forum for: front bushings replacement DIY,
and one for: rear ball joint replacement DIY, to see how I did it
