Someone mentioned a 'contest' 'tween myself and an M5.

At first I blew it off as yeah riiiiiight.
(Thinking I'd have my a$$ handed to me on a platter that is...).

But then I got to thinking about power-to-weight ratios and hmmm.... :devillook

Thanks Guys
Clint

supercars.net says 3,957 lbs.

that's 800ish lbs more than you.

hp/lb ratio is pretty similar for the two cars.

I really have no idea who would win.

I think you would have the edge from stoplight to stoplight. As speeds enter the triple digits the M5 will pull away.

I have beaten all E46 M3s I have raced convincingly, both from a stop and a roll.

What the final drive? Stock I'm 3.15 right now.... I believe that the M3's a slightly shorter.

supercars.net says 3,957 lbs.

My car weighed 3921 lbs on calibrated corner balancing scales with a 1/2 tank of gas. 2001 M5 with M-audio and rear shades as options.

Thank's guys. It'd be close that's for sure.... hp to weight is really close depending on mods... I dunno....

you win to 60, maybe even quarter mile, but then crazy torque and hp take over. :) It would be a race i'd like to watch!

I thought the M5 weight is predicated on how fat one's girlfriend is. :D

I think the average weight of the gf/wife of the average E39 M5 driver as 125.
On average they rate a 7.5 on the hottness scale.
Said E39 M5 driver gets laid on average more than the general population of male homosapiens.
Such scientific data has been proven to be true.
:cool

The weight is the same however the Hottness goes up to an average of 8.5
and they tend to get laid a bit more than the E39 M5 guys. :evil2
