Looking for a set of Sparco Turino seats for my 98 M3. Black or grey preferred, but will consider others. Also which vendors have the best prices on Sparco harnesses, etc? Post pics here or email cnlippe@adelphia.net.
Thanks,
Craig

Craig,
Unless you are planning on doing a lot of commuting in your new track car, I would stay away from reclining race seats. They just aren't as safe as the FIA certified seats and you absolutely must run a seat-back brace with them if you are going to run harnesses. If you want Sparco's, stick with their FIA cert'd line (eg Evo1/2/3, Pro2000, etc). I have Evo and Evo2s in my track car, you are more than welcome to stop on by some day and try them on for size if you have never sat in them before. They are plenty comfortable enough to get you to and from the track.
In terms of harnesses, www.on-trackperformance.com is a great source with good prices (relatively local for us), I have been told www.elephantmotorsports.com supposedly has good prices on Sparco harnesses. I purchased a Sparco 6-pt from www.gothamracing.com this winter, but that had more to do with the national shortage of Sparco harnesses at the time than anything. Unfortunately, soloracer.com got out of the Sparco harness business. You might want to contact bf.c member Mpowered02, I believe he sells sparco stuff.
Good luck,
ben

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably stick with the FIA cert'd seats since it will mainly be on the track. I'd love to take a look at the seats in your car to see about fitment prior to purchase. I'll give you a call to find a good time. I think I've got your number at home, but email it to me again in case I can't find it.
I am probably going to go with the roll bar from Kirk. Any opinions or others I should consider? I thought about a cage, but am not sure how much I'll have the car on the street just yet.
