ok after reading about 200 threads still haven't found anything about my question.. i've heard from alot of people that you can wax your rims *chrome*.. will that help against salt in the winter months... we use alot of salt here in the mtns and just wanting to find out some info be4 i make a bad mistake lol.. thanks for your input.. might be a dumb question but if people get car waxed to help against salt what about rims??? or is this complete .. :bs
It wouldn't hurt. Many people wax their wheels in the summer too, it helps keep the brake dust from sticking and makes it easier to clean.

I would think it better to switch out your rims to some stock ones. That is what i plan on doing. Well that is what I would plan on doing if i didn't have a winter car.

Personally I would switch out my nice chromies for some other wheels/tires...say OE style 44's w/225/45/17 Continentals :devillook

Incidentally this set is for sale, ask me how much.

If you're in NC I wouldn't worry about it to much :D Yes, I wax my wheels to protect them from the elements and this year I'm trying Rejex. Its a polymer and supposedly is great for keeping stuff from sticking to your rims (brake dust, salt, etc).
