i planned on getting T1s's for my new wheels and the total my price came out to 121 a piece for fronts and 141 a piece for rears about 560 all together. well turns out im gonna have to get my rear fenders rolled to fit these 255s in the rear... i can get Kuhmos for much cheaper but i dont want to get them if they are shit tires...
what do u guys suggest?

I have the MX and i'm happy with them. dry grip for the street is great. they're just okay in the wet though. i would buy them again.

I a test done here at the Tire Rack by Euro Tuner they were the best on the skid pad in the dry and performed well overall. For the money the MX is hard to beat.
If I can help let me know.

I was also wondering about the performance/ tread wear on the Kumho Ecsta ASX for an M3 staggered fitment. How do they compare with something like michelin?

I had the I'Zens as winter tires they were fantastic.
I do know of people complaining about the 712's & blowouts though.

I read some not so favorable reviews on the T1-s tires here. I am definitely thinking about replacing my Yokohama AVS Sports with the Ecsta MX tires. I've heard LOT'S of good things about them, especially when price is factored in.

for an m3, i would not recommend any kuhmo tire except the MX.
if you were looking at 711s or 712s, do not get them. the m3 is too much car for these tires. the MXs however are a great choice for the m3.
just a heads up:)

I second this. I had 712s on the front with Dunlop FM901s on the back at one point. The 712s made all kinds of awful racket during spirited driving and there was a large amount of understeer, I'm assuming because the Dunlops had grip while the Kumhos did not.

A t1s tire not as big as you may think you may getaway with a 255.Yes 712 understeer way to much the side walls on this tire are to soft.Do your self a favor dont go half ass on tires.
Agreed. You're going to be stuck with the tires you choose for awhile...make the right choice and get something that allows you to drive your car the way it should be driven.
