I can't decide what tires to get for my e28. If it was up to me I'd get the eagle F1 GS D3's, hands down. But money is a big factor so those are no go. Here's my selection, new Fuzion Zri's, Kumho ECSTA Supra 712's, Sumitomo HTR Z II's, or some Yokohama AVS ES 100's. I've read many reviews for all. They all seem great and are within like 10 bux of eachother. The fuzions are brand spankin new so they don't even stats, I dont like that. The kuhmo's are "ricer" tires says my friend, and havent been praised like the other tires for performance. the sumitomo's sound like there good but some complain of them getting out of round or getting lumpy or having the sidewalls go soft and get mushy. And the yokos supposedly are great untill after like 5k and get noisy and produce vibrations. So can anyone clear any of this up? What do you guys think are the best here?
I'm gettin 225/45 up front and 245/40 in the back mated to some 17/8 rims.

When my dad was buying tires for his Porsche 968 I tried to pursuade him not to get the Goodyears. He definitely regrets it now. I hate those tires. No warning of when you will loose grip, rain performance is so-so, very soft side-walls, etc.
Yokohama AVS ES100's are great tires for little money. That's be my pic. I'm currently running the AVS Sports on my M3 and they are great.

I guess it depends upon how you plan to use these, the Yoko EVS are totally disliked by the M-3 forum as lousy tires. Go to tirerack and see what they say about them. I love the Khumo's , they are quiet and good tires. I have a set on my M-3, and my 328iC I just sold. I also have a set of Michelin Pilots on double spoke 17" which are factory and still perform excellent. Of course they cost a good bit more too. My new to me 325iC with ERT supercharger is running Yoko A520's which is a heck of a tire as well.
If I was going to pick one I would go with the Khumo's, they are about 9/10 of
my Pilots and I have had great luck with then.
However they have one annoying feature.
When cold they flat spot and thump like hell.
Once warm after a few minutes of driving they are great.
Just my 2 cents worth
