I've searched for and read a lot of posts about the SSR Comps, but nothing that quite meets my needs. I'm TIRED of bending rims. It's really starting to tick me off. SSR Comps seem to be reasonably priced forged rims, which I believe means they are stronger and won't bend as easily. Do you guys agree? Would SSR Comps be a stronger wheel than my stock M contours?
Also, what's the difference between the SSR Comps and the SSR Comp II?
Any other suggestions on a reasonably priced forged wheel that will better withstand the daily grind?

Hrmm would a forged wheel be stronger than a cast wheel? I'm gonna have to go with yes on that one. And something you might want to consider is getting a higher profile tire, i.e. 45 instead of 40 which should give you a bit more padding and also slow down to very slow speeds going over speed bumps/railroad tracks etc.
Some have coined SSR to mean "Super Soft Rims". . .but I have no exp with them.

Check out the BBS RS-GT's - I have 19's. They are 2-piece, each piece forged. I slammed into a curb head-on a while ago - it would have bent any other rim, but no damage whatsoever to the BBS's. Most high end 2-piece use a spun cast outer rim, but these are forged. These are incredibly strong wheels, and very light - 22 lbs.

I have two sets of SSR Wheels.
17x8.5" Comp's
18x8.5" GT2's
I've never had any problems with bent wheels. I use them at the track and on the street...with plenty of potholes around St. Louis.

I have a set of SSR GT3's (semi-forged). I bent a rim after hitting a hole around a drain Cross Island Pkwy in NY. I didn't think I hit it that hard....
btw, A rim straightening shop said they could not straighten the rim bc it was a three piece rim (dunno if thats true).
