I am selling my 95 Alpine White m3, I have had the car for about a month and a half now and unfortunately have to sell it because of some issues with family and possibly having to move out. The car is pretty much in perfect condition mechanically and cosmetically. It only has 71k miles and its a 95' which averages out to be about 8k miles a year, the car as not been driven all that much. There are no modifications at all done to the car, it has the vader seats with just a little bit of wear on the drivers seat. It is the light grey/dark grey interior. Asking $18,500.00

Funny you should list it, here is a car with almost the exact everything that sold a less than a week ago...

So, with the current market your car is in the $17k region... Nice car, im buying a M3 in about a month or so. If your is still for sale by that time, then send me a PM. Bump for a really nice M3.

might wanna consider the fact that there are 95 m3s in just as good or better condition with fewer miles going for 14,000-15,000 on this forum...

eg the boston green one for sale in Indiana with something like 56k miles goin for high 14s.

Might want want to consider the fact that markets for cars are different in each area, thats why kelley blue book ask's for your zip code before they will give you the value for the car. ex. a green car in indiana may sell for less then a white car in california, I am seriously trying to sell my car for what it is worth so please let me do so.

I will have to second the geographic factor here. Selling a clean M3 in Southern California and selling a clean M3 in Indiana are to different things.

sportcarm3:
Could you provide some information on the vehicle history? Specifically, maintenance, owner history etc. Also could you take pics of the drivers seat and the engine(valve cover, thermostat housing, Radiator expansion tank etc)?

There is a HUGE difference between a boston green lux and and alpine white sport, i think his price is where it should be!

so what youre saying is that you'd pay $3,500 more on this alpine sport with 71k on the clock??

Check the boston car out-> 49k miles, tasteful mods, and 3,500 more to spend on something like an SC http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239557

I noticed that there are some vigilante price adjusters on this forum, and I think that it's a great benefit for those in the market for these e36 m3s. I just see it as watching out for others. The mark-up is ridiculous sometimes and blue book sometimes means nothing.

So i'm sure we all agree, however, that the boston m3 is a deal. The mileage is quite low, no? I would buy that sh$t like now...but i've already owned an arctic m3 4dr, and would like another sedan...in estoril or byzanz, at that.

Good luck on the sale with your '95 alpine, may not be the deal of the year, but your price is fair. Some would pay more for yours over the boston one simply for the color. There's just something about alpine white. And I love how the front air dam mesh is color matched, esp. in white. I say that 18K is fair, if there's maintenance that has been done. I would pay you 18K if your RSMs, RTABs, plaster impellar water pump all have been replaced...add 02 sensor (only 1, for s50...4 for my s52)...add an inspection II. If you've done all that...you're a f-ing rockstar...ask whatever you like. And if you reallllllly reallllly want to stand by your car... get a compression and leak down.

Some would actually pay more for the boston one because of the rarity of lux package. Chrome door handles and the extended leather treatment on the door panels are options i would pay more for. Ok..not that much more.

Bump for a clean alpine 95, and good luck on the sale!! :)

If someone is a serious buyer all prices are negotiable, noone has cared to try and make a deal, I am not going to put a low price and then have someone talk me down from a price that is already bare minimum.

I have absolutely no affiliation with the seller from Indiana and I'm simply giving bf.c prospective buyers and sellers a reality check.

Matt P:
How relevant is your "reality check" to this thread and the buyers and sellers on it. If the car is in fact overpriced, dont you think the laws of supply and demand will find a solution?

Noone here questions the condition of the Indiana car, but who cares, they are in different markets. Furthermore, if you are so knowledgeable in pricing BMW's, write a book, or start your own thread with insightful tips for BFc members.

Sportcarm: sorry for clogging up your thread, I won't post again in this thread. Best of luck on the sale, and consider Autotrader if these enthusiasts don't bite.

Thank you guys for making my thread so popular with so many views, but please keep this on topic because I need to sell the car, I encourage buyers to browse around and find what car will serve them best, my car has been well taken care of and is in very good condition with low miles, if this is what you are looking for with this color combo please respond.

Matt P. is only showing other members other options, although I did not agree with him posting in my thread comparing my car directly to others, what can I do. I laid out what I have for sale with the price im asking I believe the car speaks for itself and I do not need to explain. Im not upset at Matt P. for posting that in this thread but what I do not appriciate is the arguements that have come out of these post's, stop the name calling, stop the debating before my thread gets locked and I have to look other places to sell my car. Please.

I will look through the records to see if what your asking has been done, there is a huge stack of records, to much to list, of all the matenance, oil changes etc. The car has always been maintained, when I had the car inspected everything was fine, what is inspection II? I will look in the records to see if it was done, the metal impellar may have been replaced, I am not sure if the rear shock mounts have been replaced or not but they are fine, there is nothing wrong with them.

Matt: I would like to remind you that telling people in a for sale thread that they can "get it for less somewhere else" is completely against the rules, and if anyone wanted to, they could report you and get your ass thrown into the slammer VERY quickly.

California cars hold their value better than cars anywhere else in the states. Because they are usually rust free due to lack of moisture in the air, and because everything is more expensive in CA. 18,000 is not a bad price for this car. If its more than you want to spend, than talk to sportcarm3 and try and work something out, but simply telling people that they can get a completely different car for less is not needed here.

PS: low mileage 95 M3s get a little bit more because of the OBD1.
