Considering replacing my dead S0-3 tires with PS2. 1999 M Coupe with Ground Control CO - Koni SA and pretty soft/street Eibach springs.

PS2 not as friendly to neg camber?
The suspension lowered the car an inch or so, which on my car, which has non-adjustable camber, the lowering serves to add negative rear camber. Not a radical amount, but noticable. I think the front is fine, but the rear def has some neg camber.

I read a PS2 review on tirerack, and one guy said that the tire did not like a lot of negative camber. I think he was talking -2 degrees on the front tire of a WRX.

My S0-3 tires love the rear neg camber, but looking at the PS2 treadpattern, it does seem like the tread is somewhat less aggressive on the inside of the tire. Any opinion on this?

Also, one guy commented that the tires squeal in high speed/high load cornering. My S0-3 did not squeal, which, for being sneaky and not attracting unwanted attention is a good thing. Do the PS2 tires scream a little?

Otherwise, plenty of people seem to like them over previously owned S0-3 tires, so, I'm sold otherwise.

Also, I heard maybe you want to run the PS2 a pound or two or three higher than maybe you do on your current tire? Any truth to that?

Hello,

Neg. camber or not, i don't see that as a problem w/ the PS2. I have driven them for almost a year now, and they are perfect in every ways. I've chose them because of their innovative C3M construction. I used to have a set of SO3 and i experienced skipping on the tire wear. I was thinking that i have to modify my CO suspension. And before i decide to do so, i put on a set of PS2 to see if they can help reduce the skipping due to their cutting-edge manufacturing process. WOW! 1k mi. later yields no sign of skipping. 5k, still no skipping. 15k, still no skipping. 20k+ later and still no sign at all. Tread wear at this point is 7/32.

Hands down, the best tires i've ever owned. Only wish Michelin would come down on their pricings in general.

Best tire I have. Great traction and I have a hard time getting them to break loose with 307 rwhp.

I had to pump them up to 37 PSI to function really well on my car.
They only squeal while they are sliding sideways. And when they are sliding, they are the most controllable slide ever. So much so I can predict just how far they will slide when they start to slide.

I bought the M3 for the great suspension....but the PS/2 is not a minor handling improvement. Its a great improvement.

I have a 95 M3 With PS2 tires, I love them they are awesome, but the ps2 as explained on Michelins website is the outside tread is aggressive for dry traction and the inside for wet, whatever that may mean to you ;)

I am actually on my second set of S-03's. The first set being on my A4 with coilovers and the second on my Coupe. The Audi had about 2 degrees negative camber all around and the S-03 inside shoulders didn't wear well at all. It wasn't a toe issue either.

But in terms of the performance, the Bridgestones are an excellent tire that get some decent treadlife. They can be a bit noisy after you get a few miles on of them as the set on the Audi did scallop as previously mentioned by somebody prior. You can't go wrong with either tire but I do have brand preference so you may not want to listen to my advice.
