The only thing I can find is a service reset/SRS reset tool. I don't need the service reset, does someone sell just an SRS tool for an e30 325iX?

Pelican Parts carries one:

R5-SRS Airbag (SRS) Scan/Reset Tool for BMWs (1987-mid 2000) PEL-R5-SRS $124.95

I've got the check panel fault code problem too. I used the procedure from this site (http://normgrills.net/bcg/Listing_by_Topic.html) to get a report on the detected fault(s) and got three that are all indicated to have been temporary interupts. I've tried dissconnecting the battery then all the orange SRS conectors and even pulled the bag to no avail. I tried to get an independent and a dealer to resolve this for me but these cars are older than the collective experience of the techs and equipment on hand so those guys were no help. Since the faults are temporary and I had a spare non-SRS check panel in the garage, I simply swapped panels. I just haven't convinced myself that I want to spring $125 plus shipping for a use once tool.

Thanks Justin :D

Thanks BCMike. My local BMW mechanic says he'd be willing to buy a reset tool if I were to buy one since he only has one for '94-present Bimmers. So I could always sell it to him, but it could come in handy. If the light ever comes on again, you'll already have the tool.
