haven't had that happen yet haha....one of my rear doors doesn't open or close very easily though. When I pull on the handle you can year the latch open but then I have to pull pretty hard to get it open. You also have to slam it for it to shut properly. anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

that does hurt really bad. also sometimes my rear doors are kinda stubborn whn im closing them. it takes a pretty good push to get them to close all the way, but it could b b/c it usually girls that sit in the back and they arent that strong, idk? any way to fix it?

I have this problem as well. In my case, I think the main reason is that I don't have rear passengers often. My weatherstriping around the rear doors hasn't deformed much (it looks brand new) and is therefore difficult to close... I talked to someone at the bodyshop as I initally thought that perhaps the alignment of the rear door was off. His conclusion was the weatherstriping as well... Go figure. If someone else has found a solution, I'd be glad to hear it!

i hate how my rear doors are so hard to close....sooo annoying :mad Oh, and the B-Pillars are a pain too. I once ran right into my driver door pillar and i still have a scar from where i had my huge gash.

Ok so this must be a problem that everyone has. Do all of your back doors feel light and therefore do not close easily. I mean they move back and forth very consistent but the just dont glide well like the front. Same for everyone else?

This engine shot has my TV M3/4 in the background. Then there's some stereo pictures. The stereo is in the car now. I took it out once and then put it back in. It's just so heavy, but it's nice to have tunes.

Check out these pics of a very rare Euro E36 M3 with SMG... I took these photos outside the BMW HQ in Munich last fall... Interesting colour, especially the piping around the seats. Also the parking distance control is cool... and of course, the SMG...

That's very cool. I think the colour is called Atlantis Blue. Must be an Individual car. That's one loaded ride!

Thanks!! The tint is 15%. The engine cover is a CF cover with a custom done flag decal. I can't really take credit for the car as I smartly bought it already done. I saved a ton of money doing it that way and I could not have bought the car from a better guy.

mmmm, when I was in college, I had t-shirts made for ~$15/piece with a picture of the 'scream' painted on it...it had a bunch of colors. I work at on a Mil Base, and they have this place called custom creations, and may be able to get a deal...I'll price it out tomorrow or the next day

How do you like the supersprint? I'm thinking about getting exhaust soon and haven't heard the supersprint except for a really bad soundbite someone posted. You wouldn't happen to have a soudbite would you? Car looks awesome by the way!

i have SS too.....i like it a lot actually. Afer 3500k it has a nice sound and gives a very smooth stealthy feel but dont expect an agressive noise. The filiment is perfect too, fits great.

3. ONLY actually shipping charges, NO Ebay shipping charge crap...

1. OEM Headunit-- light dim but unit work fine. You can fix it and have a perfect HU. ***TAKEN***

2. Clear/Red Rear light--- Don't know the brand, but I got it laying around the house

3. DDE gen IV-- I only have the ring, lightbox, etc.. but I don't have the optic fiber

4. 1998 Intake manifold-- I took it out my 328 to do a M50 swap. But should fit the //M***reserve****

That's it for now.. So anybody want it, just pay for shipping. Like I say This is FREE for M3/4 doors ONLY..:D

Well, I had tried to post this earlier, but I'll try it again...I'll bring up a topic, how 'bout wrecking your sedan!!!! Yep, yesterday after lunch that's exactly what I did. I had a couple posts last week wrt my tires wearing extremely fast and how dangerous they were...anyways, I took it to get aligned (because it was way out of alignment) and ordered new tires on Thursday. I was making a rolling left hand turn at a signal light and extremely slick pavement, the rear end of the car immediately, I tried to countersteer, but to no avail, I jumped the median flying squirrel stylee, and hit someone's back passenger door on the other side of the median...no one was hurt, except for my soul. Cosmetic damage is moderate, my undercarriage makes me want to cry...it's not totalled but definitely not drivable. And for the additional smack in the face a $275 negligent driving ticket, but I'll be able to get that dropped in court. I should be getting an estimate today or tomorrow, I'll let you know how it turns out...till then it's back to the yoto truck.

Oh, and if you're wondering, my brand new tires arrived at my house three hours after the accident :alright

I may be looking to get rid of my uninstalled Stromung, to help out with some of the costs...it's still in the box from understeer, but it may be hard to part with, so if anyone's interested drop me a line and as soon as the M's future becomes more clear I'll make it official.

I'd be down to do a Sedan Dyno Day of some sort this winter, for the folks in the MD/VA area if interested, it will have to be after XMAS (and when I get my car back)...

Lastly, drive safe and know there will be checkpoints and such out there this weekend, efficiently engineered to ruin your life, so please be smart. SSL~

The engine cover is a CF cover with a custom done flag decal.
It's actually part of one of the M3 Lightweight's rear quarter panel decals. Leib and I hacked it up and stuck it on the CF engine cover one night in his dining room :stickoutt

Thanks Pino, it's really killin' me, considering the body shop hasn't even looked under it in 21/2 weeks. Guess that's what you get when living in Southern MD, (St Mary's County). I grew up in Columbia and my parents now live in Ellicott City, so pretty close to you I guess.

EDIT But once I get it done, MD / NoVA folks should get together for a dyno day and senseless chatting...

Very cool, your M3 looks awesome also.

I have Dinan/Fikse FM5s from my last E36 that I would like to get refinished and will eventually become my track wheels- very light and very strong. But for the street, I'd really like to get some 18 inch BBS RKs or RCs. The classic BBS look never gets old on european cars.

Right now, the car has relatively new S03's on the Contours and will be street wheels.

About the corner bulbs, i went out and got blue bulbs from Salvo or something. Sylvania sells them. Theyre ok, but im not really liking the blue look anymore[they illuminate orange] :az

Yes my car was for sale at MM in redmond haha thats funny that u saw it.. yes it was well priced i came home from alaska and was browsing the net everyday i could when i got off the boat from commercal fishing... i wanted a 4 door ever since i got rid of my 2 door 325 i went down there to MM and payed 17.5 cash for my car it was at 18,9 however cash talks BS walks .. im lucky i have the job at did at my age to pay for my m3 without any payments

as far as i know the car was for sale for over a 4 weeks and when i bought it they never took it off the net.. it was on there for months after i bought it

o and the new motor part, i was racing an LSVTEC integra with CAI,exhaust cams and chip.. head to head and i missed shifted.. end of story.. my dad and me went half on a brand new motor from BMW bellevue.. and now i have a new dealer motor with all factory warrentys on it.. im lucky i know one of the guys down there.. who gave me a good deal on the motor.. very good deal

NATIALE - Very nice. Might I suggest the "cool chrome" tint by Madico? IMO, it looks perfect on titanium or arctic silver (I've had it on both). It would be perfect for that HOT Florida sun. And I know as I lived there (St. Pete) for 15 years. :)

I recently bought a 1997 M3/4, Alpinewhite, with 109,000 miles on it and an AA GEN II exhaust. Its for sure a step up from my previous 95 E34 525i.
I have a few questions though about mine....

1. Why doesnt mine have the ///M stripes on the seats or the ///M steering wheel like the ones i see in this thread

2. Why dont i have the ///M Lip on the front bumper?

3. How easy is it to change my interior from wood grain finnish to carbo fiber?

4. How extensive is the M50 intake manifold replacement procedure and how beneficial is it?

As EastBayMPower mentioned, yours probably has the Luxury package. You should try to track down the BMW service records (see your local BMW service center) who should be able to pull up the original options.

Also due to the lux package. You probably also have power seats, chrome door handles, etc.

Yes, the car was purchased from the Porsche/Audi dealership in CT (the car is now in OR).

Yes, the car is Avus--it is a BMW individual car. Pretty funny--the window sticker say "Avis" blue--but the tag on the right front tower shock mount is correct.

Bought the car mostly because of the miles--17.4K. Inspected when arrived with zero issues. Up to this point car has been flawless--took it on a 400 road trip this last weekend. The interior looks like it had never been sat in.

1997 Boston Green on Modena

I got this car after a drunk driver totalled my 1996 Boston Green on Modena :(
Mods: Dinan S3 package, RMS aftercooler, KW v3 coilovers, UUC Stg. 3 ceramic clutch and Stage 2 LTW Flywheel, UUC DSSR and evo3 SSK
Car just hit 59,000 miles. Its going to be there for a while too since I just lost my license, got a ticked for driving without license, and will also be serving a 6 month jail sentence. Thought about selling her, but I just cant bring myself to do it. Id rather just wait it out, so I can enjoy the 320whp this thing dynoed. I love it so much. Sorry, I lost count of how many people joined this, so whatever :P
