With 53K documented I wouldn't budge on your price - 6 months ago I sold my 1995 with 95K for $16,000 - it was in SoCal, but still.

Have you parted everything out yet? This would have been my first step, then just throw it in the autotrader and wait patiently for a buyer.

You had your valves worked on and had the whole front grill and the lights replaced.. right???? The hood is a different hue of green in the picture. You should disclose those facts when you are trying to sell the car. I thought there was something fishy when I saw the car priced this low.... Dude, you need to be honest in your dealings. This sort of trickery will get you nowhere!!!! YOU PROBABLY NEVER FIGURED THAT SOMEONE WOULD GO THROUGH YOUR OLD POSTS TO FIND OUT THE HISTORY OF THE CAR!!

I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE.
it would be stupid of me to try to sell a car and act like nothing was wrong on the same forum that a few months before i posted a pic of one of the valves.

i don't think i need to go into detail on every issue/item about the car on a post. if someone is truly interested in the car, i can email/pm them and let them know, in detail about the car. TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM LIKE DRAMA AND TRASHING PEOPLE ALMOST AS MUCH AS THEY LIKE BMW's. i didn't feel it nessesary to give people more reason to trash my posts.

i'm a religious person and would honestly never intentionally take advantage of someone in this manner nor try to screw someone in this way.

the official story is that my friend was reving the engine and the retainer rings (i was told by the mechanics that 95 had weaker rings) gave out. the retainer rings were upgraded and replaced as were the valves. the were was done at Cars & Concepts in Tampa, FL. the work cost $3000+ (split between my and my "friend")

my "JUNKED HOOD"......like i said, give me your email address and i'll send you as many pics as you want of my hood. my lights have never been replaced and the grill was changed to a 97+ cause i liked the look better than the 95. amazing that from a picture you think you can tell the history of a car.

You should just post it like the autotrader and other places I would never try to sell the car on bimmerforums. Only if I was selling the car for $10000 post in the other places and ask for $16000 trust me ou will get it because of the low miles it is hard to find 95's wih that many miles!

Hey man, have you tried putting an add in your regional BMWCCA newsletters and the Roundel, a large majority of the people in the BMWCCA never visit boards like this and they will pay more money for a lower mileage car than most of the jokers around here. i would advertise it in their for $15,9k obo.
And as far as the valve issue is concerned, most of us in the know would actually appreciate that someone spent about $3k having the head rebuilt and updated the factory weak retainers, to me (I've owned 6 of these now) it would actually add to the value of the car. I would tell everyone interested in the car about how the head was rebuilt and updated, in the Porsche community that helps guys sell cars faster than ones that have never had the head off.
