i have a 323, but im running 235/40/17 on 8.5wide wheels. depends on the drop/suspension. 235s should fit all around, 245 mmay be tight depending on drop

if its lowerd, no way. unless you got a lot of neg. camber. stock height should be fine.

I have 18x8.5 35 offset with 225/40's all around and I have stock suspension which is worn out. Whenever I have 2 or more passengers my tires rub whenever there's dips on the road.

Rubbing in the rears? Do you think rolling your fenders would help or have you done that already?
A 35 offset obviously is too low for maximizing tire width on e36s.

Yup rubbing in the rears. Rolling the fenders would really help since it's just rubbing a little bit. But I'll wait till I change my suspension and see if it's necessary to roll them.

with that offset, you cant go wider than 225 without major camber adjustments that WILL affect the wear if that is a concern to you. if your car is going to be lowered, the 225s might even run in the rear so a rolling or grinding might be necessary.
235s would be the widest id put if you are completely sick of narrow ass 225s. just get some more neg. camber

Oh, in that case it isnt gonna be that good of an idea to go with anything very wide, or much wider then what i posted that i use, w/o some fender rolling.
I tried this a while ago. It won't fit even with rolled fender. you'll need higher offset wheels or skinnier tires.
