I want something brighter and whiter. what are my options for lightbulbs in my zkws. So far i have, sylvania silverstars and piaa xtreme whites. Are there anymore? If not, which do you guys prefer; silverstars or piaa? P.S-I don't want hids. Thanks in advance, tom :)

Get the silverstars. Before getting any of my HIDs I had the silverstars and they were pretty bright and they lit up the road pretty well considering they were halogen bulbs.

If you're going halogen, then I've heard good things about Osram Silverstars. I believe they're different from Sylvania Silverstars, because Sylvania ones are blue-coated I think.

I believe I heard the same thing. The Osrams are available overseas, while Sylvanias are available here. Osrams do not have the bluish tint. I think the light output is higher with the Osrams, but the Sylvanias look brighter because of the blue tint.

I run Sylvanias in my stock E36 lights, and they are good. I got them all off ebay (low, high, and fogs), for about $30/pair. I don't know if they make the bulb for the city lights in your zkws.

Brighter than what? Sylvania Silverstars are definitely brighter than regular stock bulbs, and they are DOT approved. Osram Silverstars are brighter than Sylvania Silverstars. I remember a recent thread about the Osrams. It might have been a group buy. Search "Osram silverstar" and see what pops up.

PS. PIAAs are good bulbs, but if you get the 55w bulbs with 110w output, the bulb life is really short. They really are bright, but they don't last long. PIAAs are also DOT approved.
