I've been searching and haven't been able to find what im looking for. Figured i'd start up a thread of my own. Is there a listing somewhere with tech procedures for weight reduction of items that can "safely" be removed from the car. I mean like, ASC delete, Fan Clutch delete, AC removal, Charcoal Canister removal stuff like that. I've found ASC and Fan delete. Charcoal apparantley isn't good for OBDII cars. Stuff like this.
Thanks in advance.

those are really quite obvious, i figured by my asking for tech procedures you'd figure i wasn't talking about the standard easy stuff. Im talking more emissions/"features" type removals that people have done.

Jeez, what are you looking to do? I mean, you can get the weight down to about 2600 lbs if you want to. But why? You will have a very loud, hot , no tunes, car. As far as how to? Look, unbolt, remove. Cap the lines for the PS fluid. (keep the fluid in the rack)
weight?
seats (vaders)75lbs ea. But you will have to replace them with something. Racing shells +20 ea
PS 10
ac 10
spare tire 45
tools 5
radio, amp, speakers 10-15
rear seat and seatbacks 45
replace glass with polycarbinate 25
replace trunk lid, hood, and doors with C/F 100
carpet 25
Mag or C/F wheels and light tires (17") maybe another 50
So far you have saved 440# and spent $10K so the car weighs, 2730#. It's like 2 big friends just jumped out the windows. And you got youself a racecar. I'd say there is another 150# in sound insulation.
All these are approxamate, but...you get the idea.
