Does anyone else have this problem with thier window?

When i go to put my window UP ill push the button, the window will start to go up by itself but then stop like 1/3 of the way up. It seems to only happen if i just lightly press on it, and it keeps stopping when i lightly press it again. BUT if i hold it for a sec it seems to go up all the way and not stop.

is this a safety feature so you dont catch your arm in the window when your driving down the street? lol or is my button fuxord

I believe it is a safety feature, which can be annoying as you well know. I'm not sure what causes it, it's either catching on something or possibly a motor (?) is going bad? Like I said, I don't know. Good luck!

mine does the same. I push the button lightly and the window goes up manually, however, when I push the button harder, there is a little secondary 'click' in the button and then the window goes up automatically. Im pretty sure that this is supposed to be this way, well, at least that is what I tell myself to keep me sane.

Mine does that too. I'm not sure if it is messed up or not. It does seem like it only does is if I lightly brush my finger on the button after I've pushed it. So maybe it is a safety feature since you guys seem to have it too?

Mine does this to, and sometimes it will go up like halfway and then just start going back down :confused

i went and drove it today and it worked fine, barely pushed it and it went up no problem, did it like 5 times......somtimes my car confuses me :(

don't worry i have the same problems and its just cause of my window motor i think. it's annoying though, try to look cool by rolling up your windows w/ one push and it just goes back down on you. :rolleyes

yes yes .. this is very annoying .. sometime it works .. most of the time 3/4 up and 1/4 down lol

happened to me once, but i was going about 120 might have been the air hitting it caused it to stop going up as a safety feature, this was like 2 months ago, hasnt happened since.

it is very common, and the only ways to solve this is by trying to clean up the window tracks, which sometimes works, or replacing the motor i think.

OT: what kind of wheels are those and where can you get them?

lol if i had a dollar for everytime i was asked this

they are 3-pc Hamann PG(1's) and as far as i have been told they are discontinued and no one sells them, but that could be false. www.wheelpower.com still has them on thier website, so i dont know :dunno

i should've noticed the emblems on the wheel caps :D

take the door panel off it's real easy 2 screws in the handle area and grease the tracks

if memory serves me they were like 1300/wheel but i could by all means be wrong. I bought the car from my Uncle and he had put them on, so dont quote me on that figure.

Mine does this also.My mechanic said I need a new window switch(Something like that)I told him I can live with it.
