My BMW dealer recommended 205/50/17 Continental TS 790 on steel wheels for the winter $296 mounted.

Jim, at Tirerack you recommended 205/55/16 Blizzaks on Type 5 AT Italia wheels.

Any comments on the Conti tires and their price versus yours? Also they said 17" versus 16".

Thanks for the help. Winter is coming unfortunately.

From tirerack I got the 16' rocommandation as well, I didn't really like the wheels that came with it, but I think I will end up going with 16' anyway. Originally I wanted to go with 17' [my car currently has 18' so I didn't want to go too far down in size] but I'm afraid of my wheels bending...
