mounting questions

Ok i have 2 really worn front tires, what i want to do is take my Never used spare tire which is full size, buy a matching tire to go with it, move my rear tires to the front and put the new tire and the spare tire on the back, how much will a tire place charge me to dismount the spare rim, and mount the other rim and balance out the tires?? 80-100$?

How old is your spare tire? Is it the one that came with the car? If it is, you shouldn't use it.

I dont think so, It looks like a brand new Michelin MXV4

I've been told it doesn't matter if it looks brand new or used, tires have an expiration date, IIRC they told me it was 5 years after they were made.

I'm sure Jim knows if that's correct or not.

I was charged $17/wheel to mount and balance (weights inside wheel)
